Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store at Liverpool One Shopping Centre in providing exceptional service and high-quality beverages. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary skills, along with experience in team management within a cafe or restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for coffee and customer service, as well as the ability to maintain food safety standards while ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Train, mentor, and manage staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development. Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations. Assist in creating innovative beverage menus and seasonal specials that enhance customer experience. Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas in accordance with food safety guidelines. Collaborate with management to implement promotional strategies that drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting. Strong skills in food preparation and culinary techniques, with knowledge of food safety practices. Excellent team management abilities, capable of motivating staff to deliver outstanding service. Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous but not essential. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction. A passion for coffee culture and an eagerness to learn about new brewing methods and trends.
