We are seeking a compassionate and motivated CBT Trainee to join our Mental Health Support Team at West Central London Mind. In this role, you will work under supervision to deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will collaborate with different stakeholders and professionals, supporting clients in school settings while developing your skills through structured training and supervision. As a CBT Trainee, you will engage with diverse clients, helping them manage issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress using CBT techniques. Based in schools across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to improving mental wellbeing across the community. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional development. You will:





Provide evidence-based CBT interventions to children and young people in schools and colleges who have presentations of anxiety and depression. Work closely with other services providing support to young people and with members of wider WCL Mind staff team. Work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.

You are:





Skilled and knowledgeable in basic principles of CBT Passionate about supporting and empowering young people to manage their mental health need Able to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team setting Someone with a wide range of life experience An effective communicator, tailoring communication to each client in a bespoke way. Reflective and adaptive in your approach Organised and able to show effective diary management a busy clinical caseload, manage administrative requirements and attend meetings
