Stefs Pet Pantry was founded in 2016 after raw feeding transformed the health of Stefs beloved dog, Skye. Since then, we've grown into one of the UK's most trusted raw pet food businesses, delivering frozen orders nationwide and locally through our own fleet of temperature-controlled vans.

From our 4,000 sq ft cold store, we process hundreds of orders weekly--everything from postal boxes to click-and-collect and van deliveries. Every item picked, packed, and shipped is a direct link to our customers' pets, and we take that seriously. This is more than warehouse work--it's about delivering health, quality, and trust in every box.

About the Role

We are now recruiting for a

Cold Store Team Leader

to join our dynamic warehouse operation. This hands-on role will involve working inside our cold store (-18C) and dry packing area, supporting the team with order picking, unboxing deliveries, stock replenishment, while also overseeing shift performance, maintaining standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of operations.

You'll act as the key link between the team and management, helping to maintain workflow, resolve on-the-floor issues, and train new staff. You must be comfortable working in cold conditions and have prior experience in fast-paced warehouse environments. PPE is provided--but layering up is key!

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead and motivate a team of Cold Store Operatives to meet daily picking & packing targets Support the induction and on-the-job training of new team members Monitor workflow and redistribute tasks during peak periods to maintain efficiency Maintain a positive, proactive team culture and address any performance issues Ensure health & safety policies are followed, especially in cold store areas

Warehouse Operations

Accurately pick frozen stock using our automated scanning system Neatly and efficiently pick postal, van, and click & collect orders Restock and rotate freezer Unbox deliveries and process new stock into the system Prepare packaging materials (e.g., shredding cardboard, making up boxes) Conduct quality control and order checks before dispatch Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and cold store
? What We're Looking For

Experience in warehouse, logistics, or cold store operations (team lead experience ideal) Comfortable working in freezing conditions for extended periods Strong leadership and communication skills Great attention to detail and a sense of urgency Positive attitude and a genuine "muck-in" team mentality Physically fit--this role involves lifting, moving, and staying on your feet all day Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
Working Hours

5 days out of 7, between Sunday and Friday. Shifts are between 6:30am-5:00pm, with rotas planned in advance.

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
