Role purpose:
This role involves identifying and engaging with potential clients, understanding their collaboration needs, and effectively positioning and selling AV & Collaboration products and services. The Sales Specialist will work closely with prospects, channel partners, and internal teams to develop and implement sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
Key responsibilities:
New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities in various industries that can benefit from AV collaboration solutions.
Conduct market research to identify potential prospects, understand their collaboration challenges, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
Proactively prospect and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Consultative Sales and Solution Positioning: Engage with prospective clients to understand their collaboration requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
Conduct thorough needs assessments and recommend appropriate AV collaboration solutions.
Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of AV collaboration solutions.
Articulate how AV collaboration products and services can address specific business challenges and improve productivity and collaboration.
Relationship Building and Account Management: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target organisations.
Collaborate with internal teams, including presales technical and collaboration consultancy to design and propose tailored AV collaboration solutions.
Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring terms and conditions meet both company and customer requirements.
Provide ongoing account management to existing customers, nurturing long-term relationships, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Sales Strategy and Reporting: Develop and execute sales plans to achieve new business acquisition targets.
Track and manage sales activities, including prospecting, pipeline development, and deal progression, using CRM systems.
Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including forecasting, revenue projections, and market insights.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to effectively position the company's solutions.
Skills and experience:
Proven track record of success in B2B sales in the AV collaboration industry or related technology sector.
In-depth understanding of AV collaboration solutions, including video conferencing, audio systems, collaboration software, and related technologies.
Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, articulate solution value, and navigate complex sales cycles.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced sales environment.
