As the Thermatic Commercial Analyst, you are a key member of the Commercial Finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial analysis, reporting, and insight that drives commercial performance. This role focuses on supporting business development with their pricing strategy as well as supporting the wider business with data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager, business development team and operations teams to drive the commercial performance of the business.
Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.

Hours & Location of Work:
Main location -
Our head office is based in Salford, Manchester. Opportunities to work remotely working are available, however the role requires some office presence is required.
Regular hours of work -
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40 hour working week. Opportunities to work flexibly are available.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Behaviours:
Awareness of contract accounting, margin analysis, and forecasting.
Experience in a finance or analyst role (internship, placement, or junior role desirable).
Awareness of facilities management or service-led industries (desirable).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing a pricing model that can be used as a tool for pricing various tenders.
Working closely and collaboratively with both the Business Development team and the Technical Team to ensure thorough understanding of pricing requirements for tenders.
Establishing in-depth understanding of contracts and tender documents to ensure that pricing is accurate and meets all requirements.
Monitoring financial performance or newly acquired work throughout the mobilisation period to ensure profitability.
Ensuring that a strict review process is followed for all tenders.
Developing an understanding of the business's current performance and existing contracts to ensure pricing approach for new work is in line with company strategy.
Collaborating with operational teams to gather financial data and provide insight into performance.
Supporting pricing and financial modelling for bids, tenders, and contract renewals.
Helping to ensure data accuracy across finance systems and reporting platforms.
Participating in projects related to commercial improvement, automation, and digital finance tools.
Following all requirements and procedures as laid out, and participating actively in the continuous improvement of, the IMS.
