Description
This is a development-focused role for a high-performing associate looking to build deeper skills across commercial strategy, marketing, content and communications. Working 30:70 across Langham Hall's Commercial and Communications functions, the role involves hands-on delivery across digital campaigns, events, business development and brand execution. It offers direct exposure to senior leadership, structured mentoring and increasing responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial team (30%)

  • Support business development outreach and lead tracking across jurisdictions
  • Prepare pitch materials, bios, credentials and presentations for client and intermediary meetings
  • Monitor pipeline activity and contribute to internal reporting
  • Conduct research on target clients, themes and investor groups
  • Help plan and execute commercial events, including guest list coordination, materials, logistics and speaker briefings
Marketing / communications (70%)
  • Generate and coordinate LinkedIn content - supporting both thought leadership and Life at Langham Hall cultural content - experimenting and innovating to increase engagement and reach.
  • Work closely with fee earners and team leads to source news, ideas and approvals.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal communications materials, including the quarterly newsletter.
  • Support marketing campaigns from planning to execution.
  • Maintain and update website content in line with brand repositioning.
  • Help design simple branded visuals for LinkedIn, web and email campaigns, working with design support as needed.
  • Track and report on content performance and engagement metrics to inform improvements.
  • Develop and distribute press materials, including news releases, executive quotes and briefing documents.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with financial, alternative asset and business journalists to secure coverage and enhance Langham Hall's media presence.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for Langham Hall to contribute expert insights to press and industry discussions.
  • Coordinate responses to media inquiries, ensuring alignment with business messaging.

Development focus
The role offers room for growth in ownership and visibility. The Associate will gain experience supporting strategic marketing projects, refining content and elevating Langham Hall's materials and messaging - all while being supported through feedback and senior mentoring.
Strategic contributions and stretch opportunities
This is a role with room to grow. The Associate will be encouraged to take ownership of:
  • Discrete campaign strategies or content series (e.g., targeting a US audience or building our employer brand narrative).
  • Special projects linked to strategic objectives, such as LinkedIn follower growth, jurisdictional visibility, or deepening reach in credit and infrastructure.
  • Thematic planning - identifying content gaps or commercial opportunities and proposing structured responses.
  • A/B testing and content experimentation to inform our paid and organic digital strategies
Over time, the Associate will help shape sub-strategies that support Langham Hall's wider communications and commercial goals, learning how to link creative execution with commercial outcomes.
This role directly supports Langham Hall's communications strategy objectives - including modernising brand perception, increasing US visibility and reinforcing the firm's leadership in fund administration.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical Knowledge / Skills Required
  • Applicants should be ambitious, energetic and willing to learn;
  • We are looking for people who want to progress quickly within the business;
  • Strong communication skills are a must, particularly as this role will be partly client facing.
Desired Technical Knowledge / Skills:
  • A working knowledge of alternative assets is helpful, but not required;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • A can-do, helpful attitude, willing to get involved in a range of activities.;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications and experience:
  • An upper second-class honours degree;
  • At least three a-levels or equivalent;
  • Some work experience is helpful e.g internships, part-time jobs;
  • A motivated person involved in a variety of interests and activities.
