Job Details

Do you have a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent as this is essential for this post.




In this catering post working between the Lochside Cafe, Lochore Meadows Country Park, or Glen Pavilion Dunfermline, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.




Supervising staff working in the kitchen.




You must be aware of HACCP Procedures - completing required paperwork including electronic returns.




Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.




Duties may also include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining area duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surround.




We currently have a vacancy to join our Commercial Catering Team, in our very busy, 7 days a week operation.




This position is 30 hours per week on a permanent 52-week contract but will vary according to site - Hours and rota's will be discussed at interview but will involve working at both sites.




The working day is normally between 8:00am to 5:00pm as required Monday to Sunday, however The Glen Pavilion does cater for functions where additional hours may be available.




You will earn a competitive salary of

25,885.80 to 28,175.91 pro-rata

and have access to a range of benefits, including:




13.79 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Training on all In House systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post if not already held.

The Person

Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent is essential for this post.




Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.




You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
