The Role:

- Commercial / Industrial Mobile Gas Engineer

Candidate location - Greater Manchester / North West

The ideal candidate will be home-based and have the desire to learn new skills and want to develop their existing skill set.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will play a crucial role in joining our skilled mobile engineering team. You will be initiative-taking, motivated, ambitious, and capable of working on your own or as part of a team. Our focus is to train our engineers to meet our and our client's high standards within the food industry. We have a continual training program to meet all current health and safety requirements and for individual development.

The work involves servicing, fault finding, repairs, and installing various types of gas burners (forced draught/package and atmospheric on indirect and direct appliances), gas pipework, and associated gas equipment/controls.

You will be required to complete digital reports to ensure traceability.

We pay particular emphasis to the food process industry with our mobile service engineers dedicating themselves to providing quality and flexibility to suit all our customer's needs, nationwide 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

What You Will Need:

ACS qualifications across gas commercial and industrial equipment, applications, and installations such as COCN1 or CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CDGA1 & CORT1

Nice To Haves:

ACS qualification in LPG, ComCat 1&3, BMP1, TPCP1/A, CPA1, CCN1 CENWAT & HTR1.

Electrical Qualifications

SPA Food Industry Safety Passport, IPAF, PASMA and Confined Space Asbestos training.

Experience in industrial food process sector, mechanical, electrical, or pipework installations.

Overtime Rates:

Door-to-door payments.

Mon to Fri - Time and half / Saturday AM - Time and half / Saturday PM - Double time

Sunday - Double time

Travel time - paid at the prevailing overtime rate (either 1.5 or x2)

On-call / standby - 9 days every 8 weeks with a payment of 250

(Bank Holiday Callout standby 75 and a day in lieu if no call out received)

Expectations:

There is a requirement to work away and work weekends along with early starts and late finishes.

i) scheduled into a 24hr on-call rota (average 1 week in 8)

ii) available for up to two Saturdays a month as overtime.

iii) available to work away up to 8 days per month. (On average up to 4 nights in any instance with hotels paid in advance by the employer)

A basic 40 hours a week, flexible to suit customers' needs between 07:00 & 18:00.

Employees to be home-based, however, must be prepared to travel as our client base is nationwide.

To supply basic hand tools, spanners, screwdrivers, toolbox, etc. (All specialist, electrical and measurement equipment, uniform, PPE, Mobile iPhone & PDA. supplied by employer).

Must hold a valid driving license and a passport for opportunities to work in Europe.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 38,000.00-44,000.00 per year
