About the role
Are you a creative and commercially savvy content professional? Do you know your TikTok audiences from your Linkedin networkers? The British Library is seeking a Content Coordinator (Commercial) to plan, create, and manage compelling digital content across our social media, email, and web platforms. In this role, you'll support the promotion of the Library's commercial products and services--including venue hire, retail, digitisation and publishing--helping to grow revenue and keeping the Library open to everyone.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute engaging, multi-channel content strategies aligned with commercial KPIs.
  • Manage our content calendar ensuring that timely content is produced for our relevant channels
  • Manage commercial social media channels, ensuring vibrant community engagement.
  • Understand how to shoot and edit a variety of video-led content for Instagram and TikTok
  • React creatively to social media trends
  • Plan and deliver content for email campaigns and digital touchpoints, supporting customer acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align content with brand voice and objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to drive growth.
You'll bring proven experience in a commercial content role, with a track record of delivering revenue-generating campaigns. A creative mindset, strong copywriting skills, and the ability to analyse digital performance will set you up for success. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, and social media management systems is a plus.

Another significant benefit the Library provides is the provision of a flexible working hours scheme which could allow you to work your hours flexibly over the week and to take up to 5 days flexi leave in a 3 month period. This is on top of 25 days holiday from entry and public and privilege holidays.
