Job Summary

We are seeking a senior skilled and motivated Commercial Contract Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial contract management , preferably within utilities, and negotiation, ensuring that all contractual agreements are beneficial and compliant with legal standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. This role would suit a retired / semi retired professional who wants to keep active.

We have a secured a contract with a major network infrastructure provider do deliver an AI assisted health & safety platform. The role will start part time and could develop further.

Responsibilities

Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to ensure clarity and compliance with organisational policies. Collaborate with internal teams to understand their needs and provide contractual support. Conduct risk assessments related to contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate records of all contracts and amendments in accordance with company procedures. Provide training and guidance on contract management best practices to staff members. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting contracts within the industry. Assist in resolving any disputes or issues arising from contractual agreements.

Experience

Proven experience in contract management or consultancy, preferably within a corporate environment with a utility or construction. Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract law, and concepts of AI Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficient in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information clearly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
