This role can be based in either our Wolverhampton or London offices.

The Opportunity



Working within the Company's Business Development team, the Commercial Engineer position is to directly liaise with our clients, explaining the breadth of our services, understand project's requirements and provide bespoke fee proposals.

The role has close links with the internal marketing operations and the role holder should be commercially minded and looking at how to increase enquiries and sales, a good understanding of either MEP, Fire Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage. An overall understanding of the construction industry or architectural experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



Liaise with clients and take time to understand their project's requirements, be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these and the services which Wintech could provide. Provide bespoke fee proposals in a timely manner. Look for opportunities to upsell when discussing our services with clients, to include our full consultancy services including facade engineering, sustainability, mechanical & electrical engineering, facade access and fire engineering. Meet with clients face to face when required, to promote our services and win tenders. Foster and develop relationships with clients. Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them. Be able to clearly articulate and understand the benefits that Wintech's service offering provides. Liaise with the consultancy team in regard to a project's requirements and handover the project effectively. Liaise with the internal marketing team to help promote the Company.

Qualifications and Experience



A Bachelors degree in a relevant subject, such as Architecture, Civil, Structural or Fire Engineering. Have a sound and extensive technical knowledge of their chosen specialism. Spoken and written English and grammar skills must be at the highest level for communicating effectively with clients and colleagues. Confidence and excellent communication skills to promote all the services the Company has to offer. The drive to meet or exceed targets. An excellent telephone and personal manner for contacting clients and for ongoing communication with all business associates. Outstanding interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients. Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills. Teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to work. The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload. Project management and organisational skills. The ability to self-motivate. Negotiating skills. The ability to think strategically and use own initiative. Strong business acumen.
