We're looking for a commercially minded Commercial Finance Analyst to play a pivotal role in powering data-driven decision-making across our business. What you'll do:



Deliver timely, high-quality analytical support to the wider Commercial Finance team, working confidently with large and complex datasets. Dive deep into sales, margin, operational and customer data to uncover trends, issues, and opportunities. Build and maintain models, trackers, and reporting templates that enhance visibility of key performance metrics. Clean, reconcile, and manipulate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Lead hands-on data interrogation to identify anomalies and improvement opportunities. Support cross-functional projects with financial evaluations, scenario modelling, and impact assessments. Contribute to budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and monthly financial updates. Partner with budget owners to validate assumptions, model scenarios, and assess risks and opportunities. Maintain and improve forecasting tools and spreadsheets, ensuring alignment with business inputs. Analyse variances between actuals and forecasts, providing clear narrative and insightful commentary. Conduct detailed profitability, customer, and margin analyses to reveal key performance drivers. Produce polished reporting packs, dashboards, and presentations that communicate trends and commercial opportunities. Proactively identify ways to improve performance and strengthen financial decision-making.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of:



Proven experience in financial and data analysis, with the ability to interpret complex information clearly and confidently. A highly analytical and methodical approach, with strong attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with PowerPoint proficiency desirable. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to adapt and reprioritise in a fast-paced environment. A passion for continuous improvement and a drive to enhance processes and insight. Strong intellectual curiosity and resilience, with the willingness to dig into the detail to produce accurate, meaningful analysis. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to tailor your message to different audiences. A commercial, creative mindset with the ability to interpret the "so-what" behind the numbers.
