Summary
As a graduate building surveyor, you will work within Estates, Facilities and Capital Development Departments (EFCD) Property Team on a wide range of Property Management work streams and Building Surveying disciplines including: -
Property Management
Purchase and Sale of property and sites
Landlord and Tenant
Leases and Licences and Tenancy Agreement
Specifications
Surveys and schedules of conditions
Contract administration
Project Management
Information Property Register systems administration. (MICAD)
. Working to complete RICS APC competencies
Responsibilities
1. Undertake a range of Legal agreements including property acquisitions, disposals and heads of terms.
2. Manage a wide range of commercially sensitive Landlord and Tenant property transactions, Leases, Licences, Licences to Alter and Dilapidations with the support of the Property Manager
3. Manage the residential properties, including lettings, departures, schedule of conditions, payment and deposits, utilities together with maintenance, furniture fittings and equipment.
4. Support the Property Manger to manage complex day to day operational issues related to the Trusts property portfolio.
5. Responsible for developing good working relationships with Landlords, Tenants, and other external stake holders to ensure property related issues are managed effectively.
6. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Senior Management Team, Project Managers, Technical Officers, CAD team and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure the Trusts property portfolio is managed effectively.
7. To manage, maintain, update data, and develop the Trusts MICAD system, including systems administration and provide training to other users.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Property Management Surveyor or similar role.
Degree in Chartered Surveyor (Building Surveying) BSc Hons
Able to demonstrate knowledge of Property Law
Strong knowledge of property management regulations and best practices.
Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
