Job Summary

A Commercial Insurance Consultant is required to manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients and new clients.

This part or full-time role is based in the Helston area, where you will our customers primary point of contact for policy needs, renewals. This role is focused on retention and long-term partnerships, growing and developing key accounts. You will also support new customer enquiries and help grow the commercial portfolio.

This role requires strong relationship-building skills to foster long-term client relationships, alongside analytical abilities to understand their business risks and tailor insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management, Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main contact for queries, negotiations, and renewals. Portfolio Management, oversee a book of client accounts, ensuring client needs are met and in their best interest. Continually creating new opportunities through networking and ensuring full management of new enquiries. Assist with processing new insurance policies, making modifications to existing ones, and providing support during the claims handling process. Ensure all activities comply with strict service industry regulations.

Responsibilities

Engage with clients to understand their insurance requirements and recommend suitable policies. Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to secure new business and renew existing policies. Manage sales administration tasks, including processing applications, updating client records, and maintaining accurate documentation. Analyse client data to identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling insurance products. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally. Communicate complex insurance information clearly, ensuring clients understand policy details and benefits.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial insurance. Negotiation skills with the ability to influence client decisions effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
