COMMERCIAL IP/ MEDIA LAWYER
LEADING LITERARY AGENCY AND PUBLISHER
12 MONTH FTC

Our client represents an illustrious collection of talent (including authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors) and is a global digital publisher of inspiring stories.
We have a role for a commercial IP or media lawyer to join the business on a 12-month contract.
Ideally, you will have in-house experience from the creative sector. More experienced lawyers can consider the role on a 4 day a week basis.
With a primary focus on IP and contract law, you will:
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements relating the distribution of ebook and digital audiobooks
- Be responsible for digital product development, content clearance, third-party licensing, non-disclosure agreements, release forms
- Have some experience ideally of brand protection/domain name management.
- Support the advertising and marketing team, providing advice on competitions/prize draws, and use of influencers and social media.
- Support on clients\xe2\x80\x99 publishing agreements and other deals
- Provide advice to the business on risk management and legal compliance.
You will take a commercial view, finding creative solutions to commercial and legal problems, and have the confidence to see beyond the legal nitty-gritty, while always keeping an eye on the goal ahead.
