Commercial Lead role within a delivery partner joint venture, managing upstream and downstream commercial elements and domestic supply chain management on behalf of the JV.
You'll be responsible for:
  • Ensuring compliance with the commercial elements of the NEC Contract including KPIs.
  • Managing the regular cost forecasting for the JV and the interim/final applications to the client and all commercial reporting.
  • Managing supply chain management of the multi-disciplinary and specialist subconsultant supply chain, reporting on performance issues.
  • Managing cost verification of the supply chain and managing the audit process.
  • Directing commercial aspects of procurement of new sub-consultants.
  • Inputting into early warnings, change and risk management.
You'll need to have:
  • Experience on complex, major programmes using NEC forms of contract, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
  • Detailed understanding of pre-construction and construction design stages, technology, planning, delivery, site logistics, commercial and legal/contract issues.
  • Expert knowledge of contract and commercial procedures, focusing on NEC.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to assure cost management activity within the JV and provides meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidently both upstream and downstream.
  • Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the programme, project or commercial management disciplines.
  • Preferable achieved membership/fellow/certified fellow status with one or more professional institutions.
  • Experience of dispute escalation and resolution.
