Job Description

Are you a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in managing contracts and commercial performance? Do you thrive in a client-facing role where accuracy, strategy, and negotiation make a real difference? Ready to bring your expertise to a specialist subcontractor delivering complex projects nationwide?
We're seeking a motivated QS/SQS to join a forward-thinking specialist subcontractor, taking ownership of commercial delivery across a range of technically advanced schemes. This role combines traditional quantity surveying with contract management, offering variety and responsibility in equal measure.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing costs from tender through to final account
Preparing valuations, variations, and commercial reports
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
Monitoring budgets, profitability, and project governance
Supporting bids and tenders with commercial input
Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams

What we're looking for:

Proven QS/SQS experience within construction, civil engineering, or specialist subcontracting
Strong knowledge of contracts (NEC experience desirable)
Excellent commercial acumen and analytical ability
Skilled communicator with proven negotiation ability
Proactive, detail-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects
