We are seeking a skilled and experienced Projects Manager to lead a portfolio of civil engineering and groundworks projects ranging from 300,000 to 1 million. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who has worked their way up from the tools and understands site delivery inside and out.
You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery across multiple live sites, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to specification. A strong technical background and the ability to lead teams on the ground is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of multiple civils and groundworks schemes across the UK
Plan and monitor project timelines, resources and critical path using cloud based project management software
Interpret and amend design information using CAD
Conduct regular site inspections to check progress, quality, and compliance with HSEQ standards
Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, utility providers and local authorities
Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors effectively
Produce clear, concise progress reports and flag issues early
Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement across the team
What We're Looking For:
SMSTS
NVQ Level 6 or above in Construction/Site Management (or equivalent)
NRSWA Supervisor ticket
Strong background in civils and groundworks: drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, S278/S50 works etc.
Practical, site-based experience--ideally having progressed from the tools into supervision/management
Engineering understanding with confidence reading and working from technical drawings - candidates will preferably have an engineering background
Proficiency in CAD
Strong communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
