Job Overview



We are seeking a commercially driven and supply chain-aware

Commercial Officer

to support the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful commercial data that drives business growth and efficiency. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and R&D to support costing, pricing, and contract processes, while helping improve internal systems and tools that guide key business decisions.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring commercial and operational alignment across departments--particularly through enhanced ERP, MRP, and MES systems. You will also contribute to contract lifecycle management and provide commercial insight to reduce risk and improve profitability.

A short-term assignment (up to 3 months) with our U.S. commercial team is included, offering international exposure and potential for future global opportunities.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Commercial Manager in coordinating internal commercial processes and delivering responses to customer and management requests (e.g., pricing, costings, data reports).

Provide accurate product costings, quotations, and pricing analysis to support commercial decisions and sales growth opportunities.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to align costing and sourcing strategies with commercial objectives.

Assist in improving and maintaining ERP, MRP, and MES systems to ensure accurate data, efficient workflows, and robust reporting tools.

Monitor and support the lifecycle of commercial contracts--ensuring terms are understood, risks minimised, and obligations met.

Contribute to the development of internal procedures that support strong commercial controls and margin protection.

Identify commercial or contractual issues early and assist in resolving them with minimal disruption to operations or revenue.

Promote the consistent use and maintenance of internal systems to support data integrity and real-time visibility across business units.

Travel locally and nationally to company sites or partner meetings as required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications



Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing, cost structures, and margin analysis.

Familiarity with supply chain functions such as sourcing, inventory control, and logistics.

Experience with ERP, MRP, or MES systems and confidence in handling business data.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

High attention to detail with solid organisational and analytical abilities.

Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and support continuous improvement.

Flexibility to travel for stakeholder engagement and short-term U.S. assignment.
