Commercial Operations Executive

to take a leading role across operations, team coordination, sales, marketing and website activity.

This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment, takes initiative without being prompted, and wants to directly influence the day-to-day running and growth of the company.

Role Overview



The

Commercial Operations Executive

will be responsible for:
? running daily business operations
? supporting and coordinating a small team
? driving sales activity and customer engagement
? leading in-house marketing and website management
? improving processes, efficiency and customer experience
? supporting the MD by removing operational and admin pressure

This is

not

an entry-level position -- we require a

proven track record

in commercial operations, sales and marketing leadership within a small business or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Operational Leadership & Business Support



You will take full ownership of operational organisation, including:

Overseeing daily workflow across the business to ensure nothing is missed Coordinating internal resources to support project delivery Managing diaries, scheduling and team coordination Maintaining internal processes, systems and operational documentation Improving operational efficiency and addressing bottlenecks proactively Acting as a central point of support for the team and the MD Managing stock checks, logistics coordination and basic supply chain admin
You will be expected to spot issues before they become problems and take action without waiting for instruction.

2. Team Support & Oversight



Oversee holiday requests, staff availability and resource planning Ensure project tasks are followed through by the relevant team members Provide day-to-day guidance, accountability and support Assist management with performance tracking and team organisation Encourage an efficient, communicative and positive working culture

3. Sales Leadership & Growth Activity



You will play a key part in driving revenue by:

Making proactive outbound calls to clients and prospects Checking in with existing customers, identifying upsell and repeat business opportunities Qualifying inbound enquiries and converting them into sales opportunities Booking project calls and meetings for the MD or sales team Supporting the preparation of quotes, proposals and follow-up communications Maintaining and updating the sales pipeline and CRM Ensuring all client interactions are tracked, logged and followed through
You will be expected to drive sales activity, not just respond to it.

4. Marketing, Branding & Website Management



You will take ownership of the company's marketing presence, including:

Updating and improving the company website Writing, editing and uploading product pages, images and case studies Ensuring online content is accurate and aligned with the brand Creating or coordinating social media content (LinkedIn, Instagram etc.) Promoting new products, case studies and client successes Supporting email marketing and customer updates Creating basic marketing materials (with external support when needed) Ensuring brand consistency across all external communication
This role requires someone confident enough to take charge of website and marketing activity, not wait for direction.

5. Customer Experience & Relationship Management



Respond to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently Conduct proactive satisfaction calls and check-ins Manage expectations and ensure consistent follow-up Coordinate project updates and communications for clients Build strong relationships that convert into long-term business

6. Executive Support to the Managing Director



You will work closely with the MD, helping streamline workloads by:

Managing incoming email flow and prioritising actions Preparing information, summaries and updates as required Handling confidential matters with complete discretion Ensuring the MD is briefed, supported and protected from unnecessary admin Taking ownership of tasks that free up the MD's time

7. Flexibility Across the Business



As a small business, tasks vary day to day. You may be required to:

Support warehouse or logistics coordination Assist with product dispatch, returns or customer support Help prepare documentation for large tenders or projects Step into additional responsibilities when required
You must be willing and able to adapt as the business needs evolve.

About You - Essential Requirements



We are only considering candidates with a

proven track record

in:

Leading operations in a small or growing business Working independently and taking initiative Supporting or overseeing a small team

Driving internal sales and making proactive outbound calls

Leading in-house marketing and website updates

Managing complex workloads and prioritising effectively Communicating confidently with customers and staff Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, organisation and accuracy

You MUST be comfortable with:



Taking ownership rather than waiting for instruction Being accountable for commercial activity Working at pace in a hands-on environment Switching between sales, operations, marketing and customer support

Desirable (but not required)



Experience in AV, digital signage or technology Project coordination or client delivery experience Basic graphic design or content creation skills
