Bradfords Building Supplies is a leading independent builders' merchant, supplying building materials to trade and retail customers; helping people to build. Our Category Team work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure we have the right products in our business.


The role




We now have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Procurement Apprentice to join our Category team. This role is a great opportunity to start your career with us and have a structured, supported development programme to help you grow and progress in this industry.


What you will be doing




As part of our Category Team, you'll play a key role in helping to manage our Plumbing & Heating and Kitchen & Bathroom product ranges. To do this, you will learn how to:


Support the Category Manager with product selection, pricing and supplier negotiations. Work closely with suppliers and branches to ensure our customers have the right products at the right price. Help deliver promotional campaigns and support new product launches. Analyse market trends and sales data to help shape our product strategy. Develop leadership and management skills to progress into a future management role.

Skills/Attributes


Confident communicator with excellent written and oral skills. Motivated and eager to learn. Confident with numbers and good at solving problems. A team player with great communication skills. Passionate about the construction or trade industry. Ready to take the first step in a long-term career.

Qualifications


3 'A' Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above) GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above) GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above)
