We are seeking a highly organised and commercially focused Project Planner.

Main Purpose of Role:



As Commercial Project Planner, you will be instrumental in the effective commercial planning and scheduling of commercial training programmes.

This role ensures our trainers, assessors, and resources are optimally allocated to meet Business commercial KPIs and performance targets, deliver exceptional client service, and ensures operational efficiency on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

The role holder will forward plan and manage a 12 weekly rolling commercial planning schedule, highlighting areas of commercial gaps against targets, and ensure contingency plans and actions are implemented.

Concise, accurate and timely reporting is required of the role holder.

Key Responsibilities:



Effectively project manage the planning, allocation and scheduling of commercial training programmes across the UK and Ireland. Schedule and liaise with trainers/assessors based on skill set, client requirements, and location of training to maximise utilisation and revenue. Monitor, and project manage the commercial training schedule based on 6 week, 12 week and 24 week forward plans and associated commercial KPIs and targets. Prepare and deliver weekly commercial project planning meetings reporting on forward commercial project planning. Support the successful delivery of contracts in line with client SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and commercial KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Communicate with clients, and trainers /assessors on a continual basis to ensure highly effective delivery of planned and reactive training programmes. Consult directly with clients to confirm course bookings, trainer attendance, and site-specific logistics. Closely monitor trainer/assessor scheduled training and resource availability to maintain planned schedules whilst covering reactive training requests. Compose concise and accurate daily, weekly and monthly commercial project planning reports. Coordinate reactive training requests inclusive of date and location change requests. Work in conjunction with the Sales, Operations Admin, Operations and Finance Depts to ensure highly effective communication and focus on the commercial KPIs and Targets. Maintain high standards of data accuracy and confidentiality, especially when handling client or learner information. Ensure accurate reporting of commercial course delivery progress, including timelines for receipt of outputs required to invoice clients. Project plan resources for training programmes inclusive of materials, plant, equipment, travel and accommodation in conjunction with the Operations Admin Dept. Utilise and operate various databases associated with commercial project planning determining areas to optimise and improve performance. Operate against McCrae Training's Business Management Systems and Code of Practice. Support the sales team with task management and report creation.

What We are Looking For:



Minimum 2 years of experience in an Operations Project Planning role with a Commercial focus. Proven ability to manage planning programme with multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and or database systems. Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset. Exceptional project management, organisational, time management, and communication skills. Logical thinker with an initiative-taking, solutions-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced commercial environment. High attention to detail. Ensure work is completed in accordance with client, company, and awarding body standards and specifications. Willingness to learn and contribute to continual improvement operating within and SME environment. Excellent communicator. Experienced in production of accurate commercial reports.

Desirable (but not essential):



Understanding of the Utility and / or Construction sectors. Knowledge of educational qualifications and awarding body frameworks.

Working Hours:



Office Based role: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with 30 minute lunch break.
