The Wells Fargo CRE division sits within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). CRE has an established record of consistent strong performance and has a leading market share in the US commercial real estate market. The EMEA team use innovative and often complex debt structures to support investors in the UK, Irish and core European markets. The lending mandate is broad with the teams focusing across the core sectors including office, retail, industrial/logistics, data centres as well as operational assets such as PRS/BTR and purpose-built student accommodation. A CRE Analyst will gain exposure to a wide spectrum of asset classes and lending structures including both development and investment lending, and bi-lateral, syndicated and loan on loan structures. With the recent roll out of the Real Estate Capital Markets team, a CRE Analyst will also have an opportunity to gain exposure to securitisation products. Our client base covers all key global market participants, including institutional fund managers, private equity and sovereign wealth funds and large private property companies.



Program Overview





You will work closely with the senior bankers to underwrite real estate transactions and develop a deep understanding of market fundamentals and borrower's balance sheet profiles. You will also assist senior bankers when they meet with their clients on a regular basis to ensure we continue to meet their needs and to identify future opportunities. You will become an integral part of your team and have the opportunity to assume a significant amount of responsibility early on.



Graduate Analysts start with a comprehensive four-to-six-week training program in the US, Charlotte, before beginning work with their team. The training combines all the analysts from various lines of business and includes classroom instruction in financial accounting, cash flow, credit analysis, products, structuring, corporate valuation, and financial modelling. Wells Fargo professionals and consultants with special expertise in their fields equip analysts with the skills, knowledge, and tools to make an immediate contribution to their team. Analysts will also receive on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and feedback throughout their tenure.



In this role, you will:

Assist with Financial and cashflow model analysis to assess and quantify key risks in new lending opportunities Prepare deal summary memorandums to assist in pitching new opportunities to relevant credit and senior business side individuals Review and assist in the development of loan agreements and ancillary documents related to the closing of a real estate financing transaction Run internal models to assess transaction profitability and risk ratings Analyse the financial creditworthiness of companies, often our tenants, borrowers, and guarantors Prepare ongoing loan monitoring reports on a periodic basis Attend client meetings and site visits of existing and potential new opportunities

Required Qualifications:

Penultimate year undergraduate with the ability to start the role in June 2026

CRE Analysts must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, and personal motivation. It is preferred that your background includes:An interest in finance and real estate Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills High level of initiative and accountability Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment Problem solving and decision-making skills Proven leadership, self-motivation, and success through internships, part-time or full-time work, and/or extracurricular activities Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products Minimum 2.1 (or equivalent) degree level qualification Fluent in English
