An award-winning commercial law firm in the heart of Manchester is looking to appoint a skilled and commercially minded solicitor to join its growing Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with at least 4 years' post-qualified experience who enjoys advising a varied client base on complex and high-value commercial matters.

The role offers the opportunity to advise both UK-based and international clients on key commercial arrangements and business-critical projects.
The role would particularly suit a solicitor looking for a high-quality caseload, regular client contact, and a firm that actively supports career progression.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreements
  • Advising clients on contractual risk, regulatory matters, data protection, IP, and commercial strategy
  • Working alongside colleagues in corporate, employment, and dispute resolution on cross-departmental matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice
  • Supporting business development activities and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualified experience in commercial law
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, with a strong understanding of risk and regulatory issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear, practical way
  • A confident, client-focused approach with a strong sense of commerciality
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with a genuine interest in helping clients grow and protect their businesses
Why Apply?
  • Join a respected, partner-led commercial team with an impressive client portfolio
  • Work in a supportive and inclusive environment where personal development is genuinely encouraged
  • Be part of a collaborative culture that promotes flexibility and a sensible work-life balance
  • Enjoy a competitive salary, transparent progression path, and wide-ranging benefits
