The Commercial Support role is essential in ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency within our organisation. This position involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with data management, and supporting sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
Duties
Identify and convert new business opportunities within freight forwarding, transport, warehousing, and value-added logistics services.
Manage and expand relationships with existing clients to increase wallet share and retention.
Develop and deliver tailored proposals and pricing models based on client needs and market dynamics.
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and site visits to build brand and market presence.
Work with the marketing team on campaigns and targeted outreach to drive inbound leads.
Additional Duties: Operational Coordination & Support
Liaise with operations, transport, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless service delivery for new and existing clients.
Oversee the onboarding of new customers, ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and contractual terms are clearly understood and implemented.
Monitor service performance, resolve escalations, and act as a key point of contact for commercial-related queries.
Assist in costing, rate reviews, and margin analysis to ensure commercial viability and competitiveness.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Skills
Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and drive sales opportunities.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in phone etiquette while engaging with clients.
A proactive approach to upselling and identifying potential sales leads.
