Job Description

HGV / LCV Technician required in the Motherwell area

Basic Salary: 37,315 per Year + Overtime & Premium Pay
Full-Time - Permanent Role

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV or LCV Technician to join a busy and well-equipped fleet maintenance workshop in Motherwell. This is a permanent role working on a rotating double-day shift pattern, with enhanced overtime pay and long-term career development opportunities.
Shift Pattern:

Week 1: 07:30 - 16:00
Week 2: 12:30 - 20:00
Saturdays (when required): Paid at 2x rate after 12:00

4.49/hour premium for hours worked between 8pm-6am
2x pay for Saturday work after midday

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on fleet vehicles
Work across a mix of HGVs and LCVs as required
Use diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques
Complete documentation and defect reporting accurately
Maintain workshop safety, efficiency, and cleanliness

Ideal Commercial Vehicle Technician Profile:

Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Experience with HGV or LCV maintenance (HGV preferred)
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Full UK driving licence required
C1 / 7.5T licence beneficial but not essential
