We now have an exciting opportunity for a Commis Chef to join our amazing team.

As a Commis chef you will carry out food preparation and some basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie. You will rotate through the various sections of the kitchen such as sauce, vegetables, fish, butchery but also assisting the Pastry Chef. Your

key responsibilities are:

Maintain high standards to hygiene

. Assist in the pastry kitchen

Preparing ingredients for a more senior chef

Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately

Dealing with deliveries

Ensuring stock rotation is carried out and that all food past expiry date is discarded

Qualities/Experience required

Preferably someone who has an NVQ or Btec in Cooking

. Preferably has some experience of pastry

Passion for cooking and for learning

Experience as a kitchen Porter

. Able to follow instructions

. Can work evenings and weekends as per rota

. Is hard working, clean and polite
