This role reports to the Head Chef. You will be supporting the food service of this fantastic Foodhall & Kitchen. We are looking for individuals with a passion for food and are willing to learn as well as share their knowledge amongst the team. You will have a passion for great seasonal local food, working in an open plan kitchen, including a gas and woodfired Pizza Theatre. Working alongside a motivated and committed team in the delivery of amazing food, will be critical to your success in this role.

Your input and influence on the design of the seasonal based menu will also be important to this role. Daily specials will be truly "special" utilising all the wonderful fresh local produce available from the Foodhall. Your biggest influence will be bouncing ideas off the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to think of specials.

Providing customers with an exceptional plate of simple, seasonal, great tasting food, consistently and on time requires a great team. You will attend regular training with your colleagues, embracing new ideas and working as a team to achieve consistently high standards.

Key criteria / responsibilities:

Food preparation following standards set by the Head Chef.

Food service.

Keep the kitchen clean to maintain our 5EHO rating.
Be a team player.

Be calm under pressure.

Have a passion for food.

Kitchen experience is desired but not essential.

Hours between 7am and 6pm with no split shifts.
