We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a desire to learn within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
We are a catering company based in Birmingham, and we are looking for chefs who can join our catering kitchen unit.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Support team members in various kitchen tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on dishes and ingredients.
Qualifications
Previous experience working in a culinary setting
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
