The Three Tuns - a historic pub at the heart of Bishops Castle - is reopening very soon, and we're excited to be building a talented new kitchen team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking

Commis Chef

who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and be part of an exciting new chapter for this much-loved pub.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Help keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with food hygiene and safety standards. Learn to manage ingredients, stock rotation, and reduce waste. Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Show willingness to learn new skills and contribute ideas.

Skills & Qualities

Some experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential - enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are most important. A genuine passion for food and hospitality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instruction while showing initiative. Understanding of food hygiene and safety (training can be provided). A positive, hardworking attitude and eagerness to grow with the team.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
