Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will assist in food preparation, starters, desserts, pot wash, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Further training will be provided in order to cook our entire menu. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the culinary arts and looking to gain experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Assist in food production and preparation under the guidance of senior kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Support the kitchen team in various tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and equipment
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food preparation and plating
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred but not required
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a professional kitchen setting
Tips - Approximately 4000-6000 in tips per year.
