We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation during service hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Experience in meal preparation and serving is an advantage.
