Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Participate in menu planning and inventory management, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available. Support team management by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service. Assist with banquet preparations, catering events, and special functions as required. Engage in food handling and storage practices that comply with health regulations. Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu items while maintaining consistency in food quality. Participate in shift management activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary role, particularly in fine dining or catering environments, is preferred. Familiarity with food production techniques, inventory control, and kitchen management practices is essential. Experience supervising or managing a team within a kitchen setting is advantageous. Knowledge of dietary department operations and food service management will be beneficial. Culinary experience should include cooking, menu planning, and food service operations. A background in hospitality or restaurant management will enhance your application.
