Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and hospitality to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The Commis will work closely with chef manager and team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties



Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and standards Support the food production process, ensuring timely and efficient service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations Assist in plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards Support kitchen staff during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and excellence in food quality Contribute to inventory management by assisting with stock checks and storage organisation

Hours of Work - Mainly Monday to Friday from 07.30am - 2:00pm

NO WEEKENDS OR BANK HOLIDAYS


Experience



Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous but not essential Familiarity with food production processes and culinary practices Experience in food safety standards and hygiene regulations Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail Experience in serving or hospitality roles is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: 20,500.00 per year
