Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and components for various dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards Support the cooking process, ensuring timely and efficient food production Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations Supervise junior team members when required, providing guidance and support in food preparation tasks Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for smooth kitchen operations Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety standards Contribute to menu planning and development by sharing ideas and feedback based on culinary experience Assist in serving food during service periods, ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting Demonstrable supervisory or team management experience is desirable Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and standards Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good understanding of culinary techniques and food presentation Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or catering environments is advantageous Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and foster a collaborative work environment Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
