Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs to ensure timely service.
Support the organisation and management of food production processes, maintaining efficiency and quality.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold health standards.
Contribute to the presentation and garnishing of dishes to meet restaurant standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including washing, sanitising, and storing kitchen equipment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Support in supervising junior staff or trainees as part of team management when required.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in food production, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Previous supervisory or team management experience is desirable but not essential; leadership qualities are valued.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
A genuine passion for culinary arts and hospitality service.
