Are you passionate about food and eager to grow your culinary skills? We're looking for a motivated

Commis Chef

to join our dynamic catering team at

The Horder Centre

. This is your chance to work alongside experienced chefs in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors.

What you'll do:

Assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes meet our high standards. Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow "clean as you go" practices. Prepare and serve sandwiches, salads, and staff salad bar items. Support meal service and manage kitchen waste processes. Work closely with front and back-of-house teams to ensure allergen information is communicated accurately. Complete daily food production logs and adhere to food safety regulations.

About you:

Passion for food and a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Great communication and teamwork abilities. Level 2 Food Safety (training can be provided). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential. A commitment to our core values:

Location:

The Horder Centre, Crowborough

Contract Type:

Permanent, 37.50 hours per week

Work Pattern:

Working 5 out of 7 days on Mon - Sun shift times are 7am - 3pm with an occasional 10:30 am - 6:30pm.

Salary:

Between 24,076 - 24,624 per annum
