Summary

We are looking for a Commis to join our culinary team at Blackwell Grange Hotel. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests enjoy high-quality dining experiences. Located near Darlington, this position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant environment within a historic hotel.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Support the kitchen team during service to ensure timely delivery of meals. Help with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste. Participate in menu planning and development as needed. Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and attention to detail.
