Job description:

We are currently looking for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at The Old Crown Coaching Inn in Farringdon, 2 rosette restaurant.

This role would suit a dynamic, experienced Commis Chef, who is looking to further their career in an incredibly successful upcoming company with uncapped opportunities, alongside putting your own stamp on each restaurant with creative menus. Ideally candidates will have 1+ years' experience as a Commis Chef.

Most importantly at the Westbrook Hotel Company we are looking for someone who has a passion for the food they make. Takes pride in their work and keeps in front of market trends, adjacent to maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current Health and Safety & Food Hygiene.

Key roles:

Daily activities are dependent on the needs of the head chef.

Playing a vital role in training a team of more junior chefs to help them to increase their knowledge and skills in different aspects of the kitchen.

Maintaining an up to date knowledge of current food safety standards and completing any training required.

Assisting more senior chefs with the development of new seasonal menus and adhering to high standards of preparation, delivery and presentation of food.

Expediting food and ensuring the kitchen meets high standards of quality.

Completing food hygiene documents to comply with the law and writing environmental health reports when necessary.

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with staff in other areas of the business, including managers, head office and front of house teams.
