Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specified recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Support in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal Manage ingredients stock levels, report shortages, and assist with inventory control Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all tasks Supervise junior staff or trainees as required, demonstrating leadership qualities

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, kitchen work, or hospitality roles Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in supervising or managing team members is desirable Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation Previous restaurant or culinary experience preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
