We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Support chefs in food production and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Help supervise kitchen operations, providing support to team members as needed.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Skills
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
Experience in food preparation and production within a kitchen environment is advantageous.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Capability to multitask effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
