We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety, and contributing to the overall success of our hospitality service. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support in the management of food production processes, including portion control and presentation. Help supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the kitchen. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is crucial. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations. Excellent team management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate fellow team members. Basic culinary skills with a willingness to learn and develop further expertise in food preparation techniques. Good communication skills to effectively liaise with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
