Ivy Hill Hotel incorporating Bartellas restaurant located just outside Chelmsford is looking for an experienced Commis Chef for a busy role catering for small and large functions, including afternoon teas, weddings and conferences, as well as hotel and restaurant guests.

Bring your passion and creativity to our small team of chefs at this family owned hotel and restaurant offering 5-star service and standards with our fresh produce and home-made breads.

A full-time position covering various shift patterns over breakfast, lunch and dinner, working any 5 out of 7 days including evenings and weekends.

Main duties will include:

Daily preparation and service of dishes for a specified section of the kitchen Help to maintain and improve highest standard of food offered and quality of service Have a good command of the menu for relevant section Help to maintain strict health and safety and food hygiene standards

The ideally candidate will have:

A positive, enthusiastic, and approachable attitude

Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to be flexible with shifts, including evenings and weekends

Own transport due to the location of the hotel
