We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Follow food safety and hygiene standards rigorously at all times
Contribute to the presentation of dishes to meet quality standards
Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Support supervising staff in training and guiding junior team members when required
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment
Experience
Previous experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hospitality is highly desirable
Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or similar settings
Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen environment
Experience in restaurant service or serving roles is beneficial but not mandatory
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
