Aston Hall Hotel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their culinary skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to the chef's specifications. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Support senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes during service periods. Organise and manage kitchen supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and readily available. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a culinary role or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is highly desirable. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn from experienced chefs within the industry.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
