We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including chopping, marinating, and plating.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety practices within the kitchen environment.
Experience
Previous experience in food production or preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
A strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen operations is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise junior staff or trainees effectively.
Excellent team management abilities, fostering a positive work atmosphere while helping others succeed.
