We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs with food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen by supervising junior staff when required
Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
Support team management by collaborating effectively with colleagues to meet service demands
Assist in the training of new team members, sharing knowledge of food preparation and safety protocols
Experience
Previous experience in food production, kitchen environments, or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous
Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is desirable
Experience in cooking, food preparation, or culinary roles within hospitality settings will be highly valued
