We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support senior chefs in managing kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock rotation. Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Engage in continuous learning about culinary techniques and trends to enhance personal skills and contribute to team success.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent team management abilities with experience supervising staff. Demonstrated leadership qualities, fostering a positive working atmosphere. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
