We are looking for someone to assist us on Sundays with breakfast and lunch service. Additional hours are available to candidates with suitable experience.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards. Support team management by collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Participate in food production processes, including chopping, marinating, and plating dishes. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality. Help supervise junior kitchen staff, providing training and support as needed. Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Experience in supervising or managing team members is advantageous. Strong communication skills, capable of conveying instructions clearly within a busy kitchen setting. A background in hospitality will be beneficial for understanding customer service expectations.
