Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Support senior chefs in food production and presentation, ensuring dishes are served at the highest quality. Follow food safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Participate in menu planning and development as required. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating excellent team management skills. Leadership qualities with the capability to supervise junior staff when required. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking methods. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
